Meet the author of My Money Has Jobs

With over 15 years of experience in education, Pamela believes children should learn practical life skills early, especially when it comes to money. Inspired by her own experiences and her work with families, she writes stories that make important lessons simple, meaningful, and empowering.

She currently lives in Florida, with her husband and two sons, Javier and Alonso.

My journey to financial literacy

My inspiration for creating children's books on financial literacy comes from a very personal place: it took me a long time to truly understand money. Schools don't teach it, and often, parents don't talk about it. My own learning journey was paved with errors and hard-won lessons.

I didn't want my son to wait as long as I did, so when he turned seven, we started the 'jar method'. Having worked with children my entire professional life, I know their incredible capacity to learn and apply new concepts when taught effectively. This ignited my passion to share these vital lessons with more families.

Empowering families, one conversation at a time

What do I hope children and parents gain from my books and resources? I want parents to feel empowered to have these essential conversations with ease. When they see their kids are capable of understanding these concepts, I want them to know that early financial education can save their children time and money in the future.

Money doesn't have to be a secret or a source of stress; it can be a part of everyday life, discussed with grace and understanding. I believe these early lessons build a strong foundation for a financially confident future.

More than just an author

When you visit this page, I want you to feel a connection, not just with an author, but with a fellow parent. I'm not an expert who always had it all figured out; I'm a normal person who struggled because of a lack of information at a young age.

My goal is for you to know that I understand your challenges, and that you can relate to my journey. My books are born from personal experience and a genuine desire to make financial literacy accessible and engaging for the next generation.

"As a parent who also struggled with understanding money, I felt an immediate connection. Her story is so relatable, and her resources are exactly what I needed to start these important conversations with my kids."

A happy parent from Orlando, Florida
